Someone who cares reached out to Hope For Paws regarding Tinkerbell, a Mastiff who was found in a ditch 25 miles away from Los Angeles. The dog had been there for three weeks, and was weak and injured due to her damaged paw. The kind person wanted to make sure Tinkerbell received help as soon as possible.
As the rescuers made their way down the hill, they noticed that Tinkerbell wasn’t exactly thrilled to see them. It took them a while, but they eventually managed to catch her using a snare, all the while dealing with her snarling. Unfortunately, the dog was too heavy for them to lift on their own.
Luckily, some bystanders who were watching the ordeal unfold called the fire department for help. When the firefighters showed up, they quickly came to the rescue, lifting Tinkerbell up to the waiting rescuers. The rescuers were grateful for the assistance and took the frightened pup to the vet’s office.
After scanning Tinkerbell’s microchip, it was discovered that she was actually from Arizona and had been reported missing. The rescuers were able to get in touch with her owners who revealed that the dog had run away due to fear caused by fireworks during their family vacation in Los Angeles.
