Angelina Jolie, despite not flaunting it on Instagram, has been spending some of her summer in Paris, just like many other celebrities. Instead of her usual entourage of children, the actress has been hanging out with her godmother, fellow actress Jacqueline Bisset.
Despite their 30-year age difference, Jolie, 44, and Bisset, 74, looked like twins in their coordinating outfits this week. They rocked creamy neutrals with matching sunglasses and nude pumps on Monday and sported summery stripes together on Tuesday.
On July 9, 2019, Jacqueline Bisset and Angelina Jolie were spotted leaving a hotel in Paris, France. The two actresses proved that age is just a number when it comes to style and friendship.
Currently, Jolie is in Paris fulfilling her duties as the brand ambassador for Guerlain, a position she took on in 2017 to pay tribute to her late mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who was a devoted fan of the brand. While Bisset was also close to Bertrand, it seems that she did not have a close relationship with her daughter Angelina, until now. In a 2015 appearance on the British panel television show “Loose Women,” Bisset mentioned that she admires Jolie, but they don’t see each other often. Bisset expressed that she is hesitant to impose on Jolie’s time, given her worldwide fame and the numerous demands on her.
However, despite their fame, they haven’t completely drifted apart. Bisset has even shared the screen with Jolie and her former partner Brad Pitt, just like she did with Jolie’s father, Jon Voight, and late godfather, actor Maximilian Schell, in the 1975 thriller “End of the Game.” Although Bisset’s appearance in “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” was ultimately left on the cutting room floor, she holds no grudges. In fact, she once shared a wise piece of advice at the Golden Globes in 2014: “If you want to look good, you have to forgive everyone. It’s the best beauty treatment.”
