Walt Disney recently unveiled images of Angelina Jolie portraying the witch Maleficent and her daughter, Vivienne Pitt, as the young Princess Aurora in the movie of the same name. Vivienne was selected for the role due to her natural ability to stay calm and not flee when she encountered her mother in costume as the ominous witch. This marks Vivienne’s debut role, as the 4-year-old bravely approached Maleficent in a meadow in front of the castle where the two characters had a brief exchange.
Angelina and her daughter showcased their talent in a scene from the film Maleficent.
Young Vivienne takes on the role of Princess Aurora in her youth, while Elle Fanning portrays the adult version in the upcoming movie. The trailer has been revealed, sparking excitement among parents who can’t wait to bring their children to witness the enchanting tale of a sleeping princess in a magical forest.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt previously mentioned their desire for their six children not to pursue a career in showbiz. So, it was quite unexpected when their daughter Vivienne made her acting debut playing the young Aurora in Maleficent, a movie starring Angelina. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly magazine, Angelina shared that other children auditioning were frightened by her fake horns and cheekbones.
“We thought it would be exciting for our kids to visit the movie set and watch, not participate as actors. Brad and I didn’t have that in mind. However, when the young child actors saw me in my witch costume with horns and claws, they kept their distance. The film crew needed a child who wasn’t scared of me, and that turned out to be Vivienne,” Angelina Jolie shared. On the other hand, not all of Angelina’s children were comfortable with her transformation. Pax Thien, who is 10 years old, was very frightened when he first saw his mom in full witch attire and ended up running away in tears.
