During a drive-by, someone spotted Violet the dog, along with several other dogs, all tied up with heavy-duty metal chains. These chains were not just keeping the dogs from moving freely, but were also causing them harm.
Violet and her furry pals were found on a piece of land in New Mexico, where it is against the law to restrain dogs with chains when they are left to their own devices.
The NMDOG received a distressing report about abandoned dogs on a property. The local county sheriff’s department was sent to locate the owners, but unfortunately, it seemed that the dogs had been left behind. Violet was among those rescued and taken under the care of NMDOG as they commenced the journey towards a better life.
According to Stell, Violet was surprised by something and remains somewhat uneasy. There is a possibility that her behavior led to mistreatment. However, the good news is that the pup is doing well physically and emotionally and will soon be ready for adoption after recovering completely.
